Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a bartender or server in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred
  • familiarity with a wide range of drink recipes and the ability to mix drinks accurately and quickly
  • understanding of food menu items and pairing recommendations
  • excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (such as kegs and trays), and perform physically demanding tasks
  • current 'Beer Savvy' Beer Server Certification
  • possession of a bartending license or certification may be required depending on the location
  • food handling certification may also be required
  • ability to work in close quarters and keep pace during high volume shifts
  • reliable transportation to and from workplace
  • flexibility to work unconventional hours - nights and weekends required

Job Duties

  • Mix, garnish, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences
  • take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted
  • deliver food orders to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
  • provide exceptional service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner, making recommendations, and addressing any concerns
  • monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies, restocking as necessary, and communicating low stock levels to management
  • maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area, including washing glasses, cleaning tables, and sanitizing equipment
  • accurately process payments, handle cash, and operate the point of sale (POS) system
  • adhere to all local and state alcohol serving laws and regulations, including verifying the age of customers
  • work closely with other staff members, including kitchen staff and other servers, to ensure seamless service
  • assist in setting up and serving during special events or busy periods, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • other duties as assigned
