Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- prior bar service experience required
- friendly and engaging demeanor necessary
- basic reading, writing, and math skills
- reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to follow instructions
- ability to communicate professionally
- must be able to stand and move quickly for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- good balance and mobility
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification preferred
- High School degree or GED preferred

Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's standards
- interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- completes assigned opening and closing side work
- slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for beverages
- presents guest checks to bar patrons, makes correct change or completes necessary credit transactions
- processes employee and manager food orders
- relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
- manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
- participates in the clearing and resetting of the bar area
- may be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go service
- maintains a clean and organized work area
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling techniques to create a legendary customer experience
- participates in local store marketing to increase bar traffic
- removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
