Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years
- prior bar service experience required
- basic reading, writing, and math skills
- ability to communicate verbally
- high school degree or GED preferred
- reliable transportation
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods
- ability to follow instructions and operate bar equipment including POS and electronic devices
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- adherence to all alcohol service laws and company policies
- professional demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications
- Friendly and engaging demeanor
- minimum 21 years old
- prior bar service experience
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
- basic reading, writing, math, and verbal communication skills
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to build relationships and be a team player
- ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
- bi-lingual experience a plus
- reliable transportation required
Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's brand standards
- interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and promotions
- completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
- slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles cash or credit transactions
- processes employee and manager food orders
- relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale system in a timely and accurate manner
- manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws, company policies, and brand standards
- participates in the clearing and resetting of the bar
- may occasionally serve guests in a Carside To-Go setting
- maintains a clean and organized workspace
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling techniques and builds customer and community relationships
- participates in local store marketing to increase bar and restaurant traffic
- removes trash and garbage from the bar service area to dumpster
