Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- prior bartending experience preferred
- ability to learn Point of Sale system and guest service standards
- have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds

Job Duties
- Perform all opening and closing duties as appropriate
- comply with standard grooming and dress code policies
- greet guests entering and exiting the restaurant in a friendly and courteous manner
- take beverage orders from guests and servers
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with standard drink recipes
- learn the names and personally recognize regular customers
- check customer identification to ensure minimum drinking age
- record drink orders accurately into the register system
- accept guest payments and process transactions
- collect and distribute tips among bartenders and bar backs
- wash and sterilize glassware
- confirm cooler temperatures meet company standards
- change television channels for customer satisfaction
- prepare garnishes for drinks
- maintain bottles and glasses for efficient drink preparation
- clear and reset tables in bar area
- present drink menus and make recommendations
- maintain cleanliness of bar areas
- conform to attendance and punctuality standards
- replenish cash drawers to starting amounts
- receive and serve food orders to bar guests
- follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
- report equipment and maintenance issues
- assist with bar inventory restocking
- receive telephone food orders promptly
- relay telephone messages to manager
- log food complaints and beverage waste
- treat customers and employees with courtesy and respect
- check liquor order invoices in absence of manager
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
