Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years bartending experience in a restaurant or catering setting
- Ability to work an on-call schedule including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of applicable liquor laws
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Capability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Two years of bartending experience in a restaurant or catering setting
- Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
- Ability to mix drinks accurately following standard recipes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Ability to recognize signs of intoxication and handle such situations responsibly
Job Duties
- Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Set up assigned bars
- requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
- Take and/or process orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- practice prudent portion control
- Check guests at the bar for proper identification
- Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained
- Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
