Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years bartending experience in a restaurant or catering setting
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of applicable liquor laws
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods
  • Capability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of bartending experience in a restaurant or catering setting
  • Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
  • Ability to mix drinks accurately following standard recipes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
  • Ability to recognize signs of intoxication and handle such situations responsibly

Job Duties

  • Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Set up assigned bars
  • requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Take and/or process orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practice prudent portion control
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained
  • Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
