Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- reliable transportation required
- ability to wipe down tables and bar area
- ability to stand and move quickly for up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems and bar equipment
- good sense of balance and mobility
- ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
- ability to follow all company and legal alcohol service regulations
Job Qualifications
- Prior bar service experience
- friendly and engaging demeanor

- basic reading, writing, math, and verbal communication skills
- ability to build relationships

- ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus
- bi-lingual experience is a plus
- high school degree or GED preferred
Job Duties
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- interact verbally with bar guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- greet guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and drinks
- complete assigned opening and closing side work
- slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- present guest checks and handle cash or credit transactions
- process employee and manager food orders
- relay food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale system accurately
- manage alcohol service according to state and federal laws as well as company policies
- participate in clearing and resetting the bar
- occasionally serve guests in Carside To-Go service
- maintain a clean and organized work area
- explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drive sales with suggestive selling techniques
- participate in Local Store Marketing to increase bar traffic
- remove trash and garbage from bar area
