Job Qualifications

- Prior bar service experience
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus

Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and promotions
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drink preparation
- Presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles correct change or credit transactions
- Processes employee and manager food orders
- Relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale system accurately and timely
- Manages service of alcohol according to state and federal laws, company, and brand policies
- Participates in clearing and resetting the bar area
- Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go service
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques and creates legendary customer experiences
- Participates in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant business
- Removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
