Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and squatting
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate point-of-sale equipment efficiently
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time shifts
- Compliance with all local and state alcohol service regulations
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a bartender in a high-quality dining or club environment preferred
- Knowledge of mixology, drink preparation and bar equipment
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and engage professionally with members
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adhere to state and local liquor laws
- Understanding of cleanliness and safety protocols in a bar setting
Job Duties
- Report to work as scheduled and wear correct uniform
- Practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Set up the bar correctly and complete all opening and side work duties including cleaning and stocking
- Order, requisition and stock all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to specifications and recipes
- Greet bar members immediately and make beverage suggestions
- Take, record and ring all food and beverage items ordered by bar members
- Observe members to ensure satisfaction with food, beverages and service and respond to needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas to standards
- Adhere to all state and local liquor laws and club policies regarding alcoholic beverages
- Assist fellow employees to enhance the dining experience
- Communicate member concerns to the manager on duty
- Follow safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions or incidents
- Process payments accurately
- Perform the cashier function for service staff
- Maintain knowledge of all standards and procedures outlined in the club training materials
