Job Requirements

  • One year of prior bartending experience preferred
  • Prior guest relations training
  • Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
  • Experience working with POS (Toast, Micros, Aloha, etc) and reservation software (Toast)
  • Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Knowledge of proper food handling
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills
  • Positive upbeat attitude/personality
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance are required
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Plan and present bar menu
  • Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food & beverage, health and safety regulations
  • Exemplify outstanding communication skills
  • Check in with clientele to ensure satisfaction
  • Keep a clean and tidy work area
  • Complete opening/closing duties
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and perform credit card charges
  • Participate in inventory and determine adequate par levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned
