Job Requirements

  • One year of prior bartending experience preferred
  • prior guest relations training
  • proper food safety training and certification
  • experience working with POS systems such as Toast, Micros, Aloha and reservation software
  • strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • knowledge of proper food handling
  • excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • positive upbeat attitude and personality
  • punctuality and reliable attendance
  • ability to communicate fluently in English
  • ability to work with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and minimal supervision
  • ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • comply with all food & beverage, health and safety regulations
  • exemplify outstanding communication skills with the aptitude to create unique experiences for clientele
  • check in with clientele to ensure satisfaction
  • keep a clean and tidy work area, including guest areas
  • complete opening and closing duties following standards and prep checklists
  • adhere to cash handling policies and accurately ring in orders
  • participate in inventory management and determine adequate par levels
  • perform other duties as assigned
