Job Requirements

  • meets state & local age requirements for serving alcohol
  • maintains current CA required Food Handlers Certificate and Responsible Beverage Service (RSB) training and certification
  • minimum 3 years of experience in bartending including beer, wine, liquor service and cash handling
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to balance and carry multiple beverage items and plates of food
  • ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods
  • excellent interpersonal skills and outgoing personality
  • team player attitude with honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years previous experience including beer, wine, liquor, and service as well as cash handling
  • demonstrated track record of honesty while performing bartender responsibilities including personal integrity and being a good steward of the business's assets including liquor and money
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • able to balance and carry multiple beverage items and plates of food
  • able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time
  • excellent people skills and outgoing personality
  • team player who works with a sense of urgency, honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness

Job Duties

  • work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • be passionate about the service industry and customer satisfaction
  • demonstrate a positive attitude always and willing to help where needed
  • greet guests with enthusiastic and friendly attitude and provide the highest level of service
  • mix and serve drinks as ordered
  • set up bar at beginning of shift
  • set up cash register and ensure proper date is entered for each shift
  • prepare garnishes
  • serve beverages in a timely manner
  • be familiar with menu and special dishes
  • present upsells to guests
  • record orders for food and/or drinks through Micros POS
  • answer telephone and accept reservations
  • restock all beer and wine coolers at end of shift
  • ensure all liquor and related bar items are locked up at end of shift
  • be knowledgeable of wine and other featured beverages
  • be knowledgeable of liquor brands and making drink techniques
  • prepare all monies/charge tickets and tips for turn in at end of shift
  • ensure all banks are correct or identified as to shortage/overage
  • stock ice and bar supplies
  • clean bar area and glasses at end of shift
  • maintain a clean work area and guest environment
  • follow all requirements for the responsible service of alcohol
  • understand basic money handling and make proper change and process credit cards
  • be flexible in schedule requirements as hours may fluctuate
