Job Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills necessary for cash register operation and making change
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate a keyboard and point-of-sale procedures
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- ability to work as part of a team
- must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- must have excellent customer service skills
- sufficient manual dexterity to handle glassware, bottles, and utensils
- physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift weights up to 50 pounds
- capable of working under mental and physical stress
Job Qualifications
- Professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of bar experience
- knowledge of spirits and wine
- ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- hotel experience preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders, and mix drinks according to standard recipes
- abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements related to alcohol service
- input orders into the register and create checks for all guests to ensure accountability
- handle cash transactions, verify charges, and ensure proper voucher handling
- secure all beverage, food, and equipment items, deposit cash drops, and lock the bank
- comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability
- perform any other job-related duties as assigned
