Job Duties

  • Take drink orders from patrons
  • serve wine, beer and snacks
  • collect money for drinks served
  • balance cash receipts
  • check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • clean glasses, utensils and bar equipment
  • clean bars, work areas and tables
  • arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
  • order or requisition beer, wine and supplies
  • unloading and stocking bottles, glasses and other related supplies
  • monitor beer kegs and change out when necessary
  • comply with food and beverage regulations
  • attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
  • use best judgement when dealing with inebriated customers
  • contact local law enforcement should the situation permit
  • perform other duties as assigned
