Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in a full service restaurant
  • Ability to obtain local health department certification
  • Ability to obtain state liquor control board certification
  • Ability to comply with sanitation and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible schedule to work varying hours as needed
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • High school education is preferred
  • Minimum one year full service restaurant experience
  • Ability to obtain required government licenses and certificates such as local health department certification and state liquor control board certificate
  • CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
  • Knowledge of menu and beverage preparation
  • Effective communication skills in diverse situations
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain an outgoing, friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Monitor liquor, beer and wine usage to help maintain proper inventory levels
  • Prepare alcoholic and specialty beverages with correct ingredients, portions and procedures
  • Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menus, offering cocktails, suggesting courses and explaining chef's specialties
  • Address guests' special dietary needs and requests
  • Deliver orders, accompaniments and condiments to guests
  • Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils and refilling beverages
  • Deliver bills promptly and process payments accurately
  • Interact positively with staff and guests to achieve 100 percent guest satisfaction
  • Assist with various FOH duties including answering phones, taking to-go orders, managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, expediting food delivery, and bussing tables
