Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year experience in a full service restaurant
- Ability to obtain local health department certification
- Ability to obtain state liquor control board certification
- Ability to comply with sanitation and alcohol beverage control policies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible schedule to work varying hours as needed
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- High school education is preferred
- Minimum one year full service restaurant experience
- Ability to obtain required government licenses and certificates such as local health department certification and state liquor control board certificate
- CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred
- Knowledge of menu and beverage preparation
- Effective communication skills in diverse situations
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Maintain an outgoing, friendly and courteous demeanor
- Monitor liquor, beer and wine usage to help maintain proper inventory levels
- Prepare alcoholic and specialty beverages with correct ingredients, portions and procedures
- Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menus, offering cocktails, suggesting courses and explaining chef's specialties
- Address guests' special dietary needs and requests
- Deliver orders, accompaniments and condiments to guests
- Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils and refilling beverages
- Deliver bills promptly and process payments accurately
- Interact positively with staff and guests to achieve 100 percent guest satisfaction
- Assist with various FOH duties including answering phones, taking to-go orders, managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, expediting food delivery, and bussing tables
