Job Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion control
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate a point of sale system
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to work as part of a team
- sufficient manual dexterity to perform bartending tasks
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- capable of working under mentally and physically stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- Professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of bar experience
- knowledge of spirits and wine
- ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- hotel experience preferred
Job Duties
- Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all necessary items
- maintain stock, cutting, and storage of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing portion control
- abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements related to serving alcoholic beverages
- input orders into a register, create checks, verify charges, handle cash and balance all monies
- lock and store all beverage, food and equipment items securely
- comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability
- perform any other job-related duties as assigned
