Job Requirements

  • basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks and count bank
  • ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
  • ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must be able to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • professional and energetic
  • high school education or equivalent is preferred
  • at least one year of bar experience
  • knowledge of spirits and wine
  • ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections
  • maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
  • abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • lock and store all beverage, food and other equipment items and secure bank deposits
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • perform any other job related duties as assigned
