Job Requirements
- basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks and count bank
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- must be able to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent is preferred
- at least one year of bar experience
- knowledge of spirits and wine
- ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- hotel experience preferred
Job Duties
- make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections
- maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- lock and store all beverage, food and other equipment items and secure bank deposits
- comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- perform any other job related duties as assigned
