Job Requirements
- 21 plus years old
- Prior bar service experience
- Reliable transportation required
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
- Friendly and engaging demeanor
- Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
- Ability to be a team player
- High School Degree or GED preferred
- Ability to build relationships
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
- Bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and promotions
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- Presents guest checks to bar patrons, makes correct change and/or completes any necessary credit transactions
- Processes employee and manager food orders
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
- Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand policies
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of the bar
- May occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go format
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques, creating a legendary customer experience, developing customer and community relationships to increase guest visits
- Participates in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant sales
- Removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
