Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current food handler card required
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Basic English proficiency
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
- Hold a current food handler card
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
- Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- Manual dexterity for garnishing and handling glassware
- Basic English skills for customer communication
- Ability to understand and apply product labeling instructions
- Ability to remember and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
- Ability to transport up to 30 pounds continuously
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Frequent twisting, bending, and stooping
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Greet guests courteously and promote drink orders
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
- Requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, and related items
- Prepare and store fresh fruit garnishes and perishables
- Handle cash transactions, make change, and balance register
- Secure cash bank and store beverages and equipment
- Answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
- Input orders into point of sale system and create guest checks
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health standards
- Follow safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Assist other beverage personnel as needed
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
