Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee’s recipes
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- Presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles payment transactions
- Processes employee and manager food orders
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale system accurately and promptly
- Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
- Participates in clearing and resetting the bar
- Occasionally serves guests in a Carside To-Go setting
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and enhance the customer experience
- Participates in local store marketing to increase bar traffic
- Removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpsters
- Operates bar equipment including soda fountains, blenders, frozen drink machines, and cutting utensils
