Job Requirements
- Must have proven working experience as a bartender
- must be able to frequently immerse hands in hot and cold water
- must be able to read and write English
- must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise
Job Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- excellent knowledge and experience mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- experience operating P.O.S. system, making change correctly and processing credit card transactions
- must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- must be able to frequently immerse hands in hot and cold water
- must be able to read and write English
- must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise
Job Duties
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and dining room
- keep the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times
- interact with customers, take drink and food orders
- have a strong knowledge of all menu items and prices
- mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- upsell guests on food or drink items when appropriate
- check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- comply with all food and beverage regulations
- follow all relevant brand standards for service
- strictly adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and is able to successfully “slow down a guest” or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary
- process payments and shift end cash out procedure
- perform general cleaning duties throughout shift and at closing
- must be dressed neatly and be well-groomed
- must wear company approved uniform at all times
