Job Requirements
- 21 plus years old
- reliable transportation required
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to wipe down tables, pick up debris, and maintain cleanliness
- ability to handle physical demands including reach, bend, stoop, and kneel
- frequent immersion of hands in water
- ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests
- prior bar service experience
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
- reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
- friendly and engaging demeanor
- ability to build relationships

- ability to follow manager instructions and guidance

Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED preferred
- prior bar service experience
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus

Job Duties
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- interact verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- complete assigned opening and closing side work
- slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- present guest checks to bar patrons, make correct change and/or complete any necessary credit transactions
- process employee and manager food orders
- relay food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
- manage service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations as well as company policies
- participate in the clearing and resetting of the bar
- occasionally serve guests in a Carside To-Go capacity
- maintain a clean and organized work area
- explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drive sales with suggestive selling techniques
- participate in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant sales
- remove trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
