Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handler's permit where required
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- ability to effectively converse in and comprehend English
- physical ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to comply with safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests and team members
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- basic math skills and accurate cash handling
- completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
- accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
