Job Requirements

  • previous experience in hospitality or bartending preferred
  • ability to communicate well with guests
  • knowledge of beverage preparation and service
  • basic math skills
  • manual dexterity in hands
  • capacity to stand and work for extended periods
  • ability to use point of sale systems
  • ability to maintain punctual attendance
  • ability to follow safety and alcohol service regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel experience preferred
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money accurately
  • manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware and bottles
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate point of sale system
  • ability to stand and work for long periods in confined spaces
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons

Job Duties

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
  • stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections
  • maintains stock, cuts, and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
  • greets guests courteously and promotes and documents drink orders
  • mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • complies with all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
  • inputs orders into register and creates checks to maintain beverage accountability
  • handles cash transactions, verifies charges, records charges, and ensures proper voucher execution
  • locks and stores beverage, food, and equipment items and secures cash deposits
  • complies with attendance rules and maintains regular availability
  • performs other job-related duties as assigned
