Job Requirements

  • Complete background investigation with favorable results
  • complete pre-employment physical examination
  • meet minimum age requirement for serving alcohol
  • obtain Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • be a U.S. citizen or non-U.S. national residing in U.S. territory for three years
  • register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
  • complete employment verification (E-Verify)
  • comply with direct deposit requirement
  • meet probationary period if required
  • provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents for installation access

Job Qualifications

  • Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
  • knowledge of a variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients
  • ability to mix exotic drinks
  • ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems or seek assistance
  • ability to follow cash handling procedures
  • physical ability to lift 5 to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • clear communication skills
  • skill in dealing with the public
  • open to all applicants including military spouses, veterans, and outside applicants
  • ability to meet federal employment eligibility and background requirements
  • must provide proof of eligibility by closing date

Job Duties

  • Operate a full-service bar
  • mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order following established recipes
  • deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
  • receive payments or charge to member accounts
  • wash glasses and bar equipment
  • prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
  • help stock bar for catered functions
  • maintain proper operation of bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
  • accept money and operate cash register
  • prepare documentation for cash funds accountability
  • recognize and manage intoxicated or unruly patrons
  • perform other duties as assigned
