Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
- must hold a current food handler card
- knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- basic math skills
- ability to operate a cash register
- good communication skills in English
- physical ability to stand, walk frequently and lift up to 30 pounds
- manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
- willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- knowledge of all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- hold a current food handler card
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
- basic English language writing skills
- sufficient manual dexterity for garnish preparation and drink mixing
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce
- maintains stock, cuts, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges and records sales
- locks up and stores all beverages, food and equipment
- deposits cash drops and secures the bank
- answers bar phone and takes room service orders
- inputs orders into the register and creates checks
- performs general cleaning tasks
- adheres to company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security rules and reports any unsafe conditions
- uses protective equipment
- reports accidents and property damage
- maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance
- assists other beverage personnel as needed
- performs any related duties requested by supervisor or manager
