Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in beverage service preferred
  • must possess current food handler card
  • knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • capability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • team player with positive attitude
  • commitment to safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Current food handler card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and cash handling
  • basic English language writing skills
  • sufficient manual dexterity to prepare drinks and garnishes
  • ability to understand and communicate in English
  • ability to operate beverage equipment
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including stock requisitioning
  • cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
  • receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges and balance money
  • lock up beverages, food and equipment, secure cash drops and bank
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create checks for accountability
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
  • report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries or property loss to supervisor
  • maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
  • perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
