Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in beverage service preferred
- must possess current food handler card
- knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- capability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- team player with positive attitude
- commitment to safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- Current food handler card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and cash handling
- basic English language writing skills
- sufficient manual dexterity to prepare drinks and garnishes
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including stock requisitioning
- cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges and balance money
- lock up beverages, food and equipment, secure cash drops and bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
- input orders into register and create checks for accountability
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
- adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries or property loss to supervisor
- maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
- perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
