Job Requirements

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Possess California Food Handlers card and ABC certification
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressured environment
  • High energy and strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents

Job Duties

  • Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
  • Check identification of guest to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
  • Politely refuse beverages to guests who are not of legal age
  • Responsible serve alcohol
  • Count drinks served and are aware of guest's state of intoxication
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
  • Enter and complete customers' orders on computer system, accepting different types of payment
  • Anticipate guest's needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink
  • Remain alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge guest so they know you will be right with them
  • Perform other projects and tasks as delegated
