Job Requirements
- Must have two years of experience in full service bar or equivalent
- Must have accurate mathematic skills
- Must have knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages
- Must have thorough knowledge of types of liquors and wine and their distinctions and use
- Knowledge of menu and specials
- Knowledge of wine list
- Knowledge of liquor list and recipes for special drinks
- Knowledge of liquor liability laws
- Knowledge of accounting procedures
- Must meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Must be courteous, pleasant and good natured
- Must communicate with and understand average guest
- Must provide a persona compatible with established image of restaurant
- Must stand or walk for long periods of time while on duty
- Must work nights, weekends and holidays
- Must accurately work with and account for large sums of money
- Must open beer, liquor and wine bottles frequently
- When bar back is not available must be physically able to move and transport filled glass rack
- Must be able to move cases of beer, wine or liquor
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages directly to customers at the bar and lounge or dining tables
- Provide food service to guests seated at the bar
- Arrange and set up beverages, mixes, and supplies according to procedures
- Complete assigned side work
- Prepare ingredients for mixed beverage recipes
- Use equipment and utensils safely for beverage preparation
- Follow prescribed recipes and pour exact alcohol measures
- Manage cash drawer accurately
- Operate bar service functions alone if necessary
- Take and fill food orders from customers at the bar using computer registers
- Communicate clearly and cordially with co-workers and guests
- Record and account for all items served
- Maintain security of bar stock inventory
- Interact with guests in a pleasant and humorous manner
- Assist host staff in answering telephones
