Job Requirements

- Minimum three years bartending experience
- Strong knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Flexible and adaptable
- Comfortable in close living quarters
- Able to work long physically demanding shifts
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years of bartending experience in a full-service bar or restaurant
- Extensive liquor, wine, and beer knowledge is essential
- Ability to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as independently managing time and workload
- Must be flexible and adaptable as daily activities change regularly and often
- Comfortable living and working in close quarters with other crew members
- Passenger vessel experience is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Function as the primary bartender on board - mixing and responsibly pouring a wide array of cocktails, spirits, beers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of the lounge, bar, and gear shop, as well as general cleaning of the vessel as needed
- Work with the Hotel Manager to ensure that FDA standards are consistently met
- Work closely with the Hotel Manager to implement the onboard beverage-training program for Steward team
- Engage with guests and add to their adventure by hosting back deck drinks, top deck cocktail hours, and leading a weekly tasting or presentation on a spirit, wine, beer or beverage related topic of your choice
- Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation of all bar and gear shop items
- Provide exemplary guest service and model the values and expectations set for crewmembers
- Participate in on board safety training, meetings, and drills as directed by the Captain
- Assist in dining room service, gear shop management, lounge cleanliness and public area housekeeping as assigned
