Job Requirements

  • Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Must meet state and legal age requirements for sale of alcoholic beverages
  • Must complete a favorable pre-employment physical
  • U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals must have resided in U.S. territory for three or more consecutive years prior to federal affiliation
  • Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate
  • Must be physically able to lift objects frequently weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull/push objects 10 to 20 pounds, occasionally lift over 40 pounds
  • Must be able to provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents for base access
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service
  • Must satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify)
  • Direct deposit is required
  • Probationary period may be required
  • Pre-employment requirements must be met prior to entrance on duty

Job Qualifications

  • Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients
  • Ability to mix exotic drinks
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve issues or seek assistance
  • Ability to follow cash handling procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and deal effectively with the public
  • Experience in bar operation and inventory accountability

Job Duties

  • Operates a full-service bar
  • mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks according to recipes
  • delivers drinks to bar waiters or serves patrons directly
  • receives payments and manages member account charges
  • washes glasses and bar equipment
  • prepares garnishes for drinks
  • stocks service bar for events
  • manages cash register and cash accountability
  • maintains bar operation, receipts, and inventory
