Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalence required
- minimum 1 year experience as a barback or bartender in a hotel or restaurant
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently
- ability to stand for extended periods of time
- ability to communicate orally and in writing
- ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, kneel
- ability to ascend and descend a ladder
- must be TIPS and Food Safety certified
- must work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
- must adhere to attendance and reliability standards
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bars and restaurants in accordance with service standards
- anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, making recommendations from guests' preferences
- take guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques
- complete opening duties including checking quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist
- requisition necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar
- set bar according to service standards
- prepare fresh fruit garnishes and set up condiments and beverages according to standards
- ensure sufficient supply of flatware, glassware, and chinaware for service
- maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
- record orders into point-of-sale system and receive payments following service procedures
- adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies
- open wine/champagne bottles and serve in accordance with service standards
- retrieve food orders from kitchen
- guide activities of bar back to ensure optimum guest service
- remove soiled wares and clean bar after guests depart
- collect and report tips at the end of shift
- complete closing duties and reports and report to supervisor or manager on duty
- maintain TIPS and Food Safety certification
- follow all safety, security, and operational policies and procedures
- work cohesively with co-workers and departments as part of a team
- adhere to attendance and reliability standards
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
