Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred
- Two or more years of experience bartending preferred
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
- Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure, high volume demands
- Black non-slip shoes required

- Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel
Job Duties
- Consistently prepares drinks according to Derby City Gaming Downtown recipes and specifications for guests and fulfills cocktail servers’ orders in a timely manner
- Responsible for cleanliness of the bar area
- Assists with inventory control, stocking, and proper rotation of product
- Responsible for preparing and selling all drinks on the menu and handling all transactions in accordance with cash handling policy
- Responsible for set up and breakdown of bar area as well as side work and projects as necessary
- Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol
- Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests
- Responsible to perform “responsible alcohol service” with regards to guest limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training
- Interacts and speaks with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty to occur
- Other duties as assigned
