Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in beverage or food service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- basic math skills
- current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of liquor laws
- good communication skills
- ability to use a cash register
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- good personal hygiene and appearance
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling
- basic English writing and communication skills
- manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to understand and apply written instructions
- ability to promote menu items
- ability to communicate simple instructions clearly
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain proper setup of the bar including stocking and requisitioning supplies
- maintain stock, cutting, and storing of garnishes and perishables daily
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and balance money
- lock up and store beverages, food, and equipment
- deposit cash drops and secure the bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
- input orders into register and create checks to maintain accountability
- perform general cleaning tasks
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security protocols
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
- maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
