Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read signs and follow oral and written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must pass background check including credit history
- Must obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
- Must wear non-slip shoes
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible long and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience as bartender in banquet facilities, convention centers, or arenas
- Ability to lift 45 pounds unaided
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work environment
- Ability to operate POS systems and cash registers
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to pass a background check including credit history
- Must be able to obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
- At least one-year experience as a bartender in restaurants with banquet facilities, convention centers or arenas
- Experience in upscale dining or similar facility preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years' experience as a bartender in high-volume restaurants, theaters, or banquet facilities preferred
- Good oral communication skills in English
- Knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes and preparation methods
- Mature judgment and professionalism
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
- Ability to operate cash register and credit card machines
Job Duties
- Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium standards
- Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons following standard recipes
- Serve wine and draught or bottled beer
- Collect money for drinks served
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area
- Ensure attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
- Interact constantly with customers and take orders
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchase
- Input sales using POS system, accept payment and calculate change accurately
- Monitor order and restock bar inventory to keep operations flowing smoothly
- Maintain inventory sheets and related paperwork
- Balance cash receipts at conclusion of event
- Comply with all inventory control measures
- Break down bar and store supplies at end of function
- Maintain professional appearance and a safe, clean, organized work area following sanitation standards
- Maintain professional relationship with coworkers
- Follow direction of Captain and Management at all times
- Perform all duties in accordance with Louisiana State Alcohol standards and company policies
