Job Requirements

  • One year of prior bartending experience preferred
  • prior guest relations training
  • proper food safety training and certification as described by law
  • experience working with POS systems such as Toast, Micros, Aloha, and reservation software like Toast
  • strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • knowledge of proper food handling
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • positive upbeat attitude and personality
  • punctuality and reliable attendance
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and cooperativeness with minimal supervision
  • ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects weighing 30 to 50 lbs
  • capability to perform motor coordination tasks involving finger dexterity
  • ability to work effectively in varying temperature environments including hot and cold conditions

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • plan and present bar menu
  • check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • comply with all food and beverage, health and safety regulations
  • demonstrate superior knowledge of classic cocktails and efficiently create them for clientele
  • exemplify outstanding communication skills to promote customer service
  • check in with clientele to ensure satisfaction
  • maintain a clean and tidy work area including polishing glassware and tableware
  • complete opening and closing duties and follow standards
  • adhere to cash handling policies and perform accurate credit card transactions
  • manage pour-cost control and participate in inventory and par level determination
  • perform other duties as assigned
