21 plus years old
prior bar service experience
serveSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
friendly and engaging demeanor
reliable transportation required
high school degree or GED preferred
ability to build relationships
ability to be a team player
ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus

Job Duties

Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's standards
interact verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and services
complete assigned opening and closing side work
slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
present guest checks to bar patrons and make correct change or process credit transactions
process employee and manager food orders
relay food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
manage service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
participate in clearing and resetting of the bar
occasionally serve guests in a Carside To-Go program
maintain a clean and organized work area
explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drive sales with suggestive selling techniques
participate in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant success
remove trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
