Job Requirements

  • basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
  • ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items with or without reasonable accommodation
  • ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check with or without reasonable accommodation
  • ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must have excellent customer service skills
  • must be able to work as a part of a team
  • sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock overhead
  • ability to stand regularly, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • frequently walk, climb, balance, talk or hear
  • must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • capable of close, distance and color vision
  • able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Professional and energetic
  • high school education or equivalent preferred
  • at least one year of bar experience
  • knowledge of spirits and wine
  • ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections
  • maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
  • greet guests courteously and promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing portion control
  • abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcohol
  • input orders into register and create checks for guests
  • receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and handle vouchers to balance money
  • lock and store beverage, food, and equipment items securely and deposit cash drops
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • perform any other assigned job-related duties
