Job Requirements
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
- ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items with or without reasonable accommodation
- ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check with or without reasonable accommodation
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- must have excellent customer service skills
- must be able to work as a part of a team
- sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock overhead
- ability to stand regularly, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- frequently walk, climb, balance, talk or hear
- must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- capable of close, distance and color vision
- able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- Professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of bar experience
- knowledge of spirits and wine
- ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- hotel experience preferred
Job Duties
- Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections
- maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greet guests courteously and promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing portion control
- abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcohol
- input orders into register and create checks for guests
- receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and handle vouchers to balance money
- lock and store beverage, food, and equipment items securely and deposit cash drops
- comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- perform any other assigned job-related duties
