Job Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and hold a valid bartender's license
- One year previous bartending experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate verbally
- Basic math skills and cash handling ability
- Familiarity with Point of Sale systems
- Highly organized and able to prioritize
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds
- Ability to set up and take down banquet fixtures
Job Qualifications
- Valid bartender's license
- One year previous bartending experience in an upscale environment preferred
- Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Ability to do basic math and handle cash
- Ability to work with Point of Sale systems
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Job Duties
- Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
- Gives personal attention and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens and resolves guest problems with empathy and follow-through
- Provides prompt, quality beverage service to banquet bar customers
- Suggests cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and up-sells premium products
- Maintains beverage and glassware inventory and cleanliness of banquet bar cart
- Demonstrates knowledge of beverage recipes and adheres to legal and hotel policies
- Handles cash, checks, and credit cards in accordance with policies
- Records accurate consumption at the end of functions and reports to supervisor
