Job Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
Prior bar service experience
Reliable transportation
Reading, writing, and basic math skills
Ability to communicate verbally
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
Adherence to state and federal alcohol service laws
High school degree or GED preferred
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Friendly and engaging demeanor
Must be 21 years of age or older
Prior bar service experience preferred
ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
Bi-lingual experience a plus
Reliable transportation required
High school degree or GED preferred
Ability to build relationships
Ability to be a team player
Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's standards
Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and promotions
Completes assigned opening and closing side work as required
Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
Presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles payment transactions accurately
Processes employee and manager food orders
Relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale system in a timely and accurate manner
Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
Participates in clearing and resetting the bar area
Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go service
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Drives sales through suggestive selling techniques and develops customer relationships
Participates in local store marketing efforts to drive bar traffic
Removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
