Job Requirements
- Ability to transport up to 30 pounds continuously
- lifting 30 pounds maximum
- constant standing and walking required
- frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
- must be able to work varied shifts including days, evenings and weekends
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in beverage service is an asset
- must comply with all company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current food handler card
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and change making
- basic English language writing skills
- sufficient manual dexterity for garnishing, glassware handling, scooping ice, mixing drinks and stock retrieval
- basic English language communication skills
- ability to understand and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce
- maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges and record transactions
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders accurately
- input orders into register at point of sale and create checks for guests
- perform general cleaning tasks as assigned
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property damage to supervisor
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform any related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
