Job Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
  • ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
  • ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must have excellent customer service skills
  • must be able to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Professional and energetic
  • high school education or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of one year bar experience
  • knowledge of spirits and wine
  • ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • maintain proper and adequate setup of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes with prudent portion control
  • abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • input orders into a register at point of sale and create checks for guests to maintain beverage accountability
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • lock and store beverage, food, and equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • perform any other job-related duties as assigned
