Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check including a credit history report
  • Must be able to obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
  • Non-slip shoes required
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Can work flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check including a credit history report
  • Must be able to obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
  • At least one year of experience as a bartender in restaurants with banquet facilities, convention centers, or arenas
  • Experience with upscale dining or similar type facility preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant, theatre, or banquet facility preferred
  • Good oral communication skills and ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes and preparation methods
  • Mature judgment and professionalism
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine

Job Duties

  • Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons following standard recipes
  • Serve wine and draught or bottled beer
  • Collect money for drinks served
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area
  • Ensure attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
  • Verify identification of customers to confirm age eligibility for alcohol purchase
  • Input sales using POS system, accept payment, and calculate change accurately
  • Monitor and restock bar inventory to keep operations flowing smoothly
  • Maintain inventory sheet and related paperwork
  • Balance cash receipts at conclusion of event
  • Comply with all inventory control measures
  • Break down bar and store supplies at the end of function
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized and stocked work area following sanitation standards
  • Maintain professional relationships with all coworkers
  • Follow direction of Captain and Management at all times
