Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a beverage or food service role preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds
  • excellent customer service skills
  • current food handler certification
  • compliance with all liquor laws
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • current food handler card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • basic English writing skills
  • manual dexterity for drink preparation
  • understanding of customer inquiries and communication
  • ability to apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promotes and documents orders for drinks
  • mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • requisitions and stocks all necessary bar supplies
  • maintains stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
  • receives cash from guests and manages transactions
  • balances all monies and secures cash deposits
  • answers bar phone promptly to take room service orders
  • inputs orders into register and maintains accountability of all beverages served
  • performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • follows safety and security procedures
  • reports unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
  • maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • assists other beverage personnel as needed
