Job Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and handle transactions
  • ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items
  • ability to operate a point of sale system
  • ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work as a part of a team
  • sufficient manual dexterity to handle bar tools and ingredients
  • physical ability to stand, reach, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • capability to use close, distance, and color vision
  • able to operate effectively in mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Professional and energetic
  • high school education or equivalent preferred
  • at least one year of bar experience
  • knowledge of spirits and wine
  • ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies based on projections
  • maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
  • greet guests courteously and promote and document drink orders
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
  • input orders into register, create checks, receive and handle cash, verify charges, and balance moneys
  • lock and store all beverage, food, and equipment items and secure cash deposits
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
