Job Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and handle transactions
- ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items
- ability to operate a point of sale system
- ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to work as a part of a team
- sufficient manual dexterity to handle bar tools and ingredients
- physical ability to stand, reach, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- capability to use close, distance, and color vision
- able to operate effectively in mentally and physically stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- Professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of bar experience
- knowledge of spirits and wine
- ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- hotel experience preferred
Job Duties
- Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies based on projections
- maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greet guests courteously and promote and document drink orders
- mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
- input orders into register, create checks, receive and handle cash, verify charges, and balance moneys
- lock and store all beverage, food, and equipment items and secure cash deposits
- comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
