Job Requirements
- Education and experience that provide the required knowledge and abilities
- Prior bartending experience preferred
- Ability to obtain required certifications or licenses such as TIPs or food handler's card
- Ability to work varying schedules due to hospitality industry cycles
- Strong communication skills in English
- Knowledge of banquet operations and member etiquette
- Ability to address member and guest concerns professionally
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
- Prior bartending experience is preferred
- Ability to obtain Club required certifications or licenses such as TIPs or a State of Michigan food handler's card
- Knowledge of appropriate glassware and banquet operations
- Strong communication skills in English to understand menus, communicate with members and guests, and record orders
- Ability to handle member and guest complaints professionally and proactively
Job Duties
- Organize and maintain banquet bars to create a clean and pleasing atmosphere
- Set bars to specifications thirty minutes prior to function start times
- Welcome members and guests promptly and courteously
- Prepare and serve beverages using appropriate glassware, measurements, and garnishes
- Maintain bars throughout events and break down when authorized by management
- Adhere to alcohol management policies and maintain TIPs or TAM certification
- Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, beverage trends, and craft mixology
