Job Requirements

  • Education and experience that provide the required knowledge and abilities
  • Prior bartending experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain required certifications or licenses such as TIPs or food handler's card
  • Ability to work varying schedules due to hospitality industry cycles
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and member etiquette
  • Ability to address member and guest concerns professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
  • Prior bartending experience is preferred
  • Ability to obtain Club required certifications or licenses such as TIPs or a State of Michigan food handler's card
  • Knowledge of appropriate glassware and banquet operations
  • Strong communication skills in English to understand menus, communicate with members and guests, and record orders
  • Ability to handle member and guest complaints professionally and proactively

Job Duties

  • Organize and maintain banquet bars to create a clean and pleasing atmosphere
  • Set bars to specifications thirty minutes prior to function start times
  • Welcome members and guests promptly and courteously
  • Prepare and serve beverages using appropriate glassware, measurements, and garnishes
  • Maintain bars throughout events and break down when authorized by management
  • Adhere to alcohol management policies and maintain TIPs or TAM certification
  • Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, beverage trends, and craft mixology
