Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Flexible schedule with long hours sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently to move objects
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Effective listening and understanding of guest and employee concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance as per scheduling needs
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and proper uniform
- Comply with hotel standards and safety regulations
- Identify problem areas and help implement solutions
- Effective problem handling skills
- Ability to understand and apply complex information

Job Duties
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees
- Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure prompt guest service
- Prepare beverages and cocktails following hotel mixing and presentation standards
- Serve guests with beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Break down bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment properly
- Follow all state liquor laws
- Know hotel services and facilities
- Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules
- Serve liquor responsibly to avoid problems with intoxicated guests
- Respond to guests' problems, complaints, and accidents
- Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and operation
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of bar and service areas during service
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
