Job Requirements
- Village of Greendale or State of Wisconsin bartending license required
- At least one year of related experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks
- Ability to stand, walk, handle, and reach frequently
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead occasionally
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on serving customers
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly patrons
- Ability to learn Point of Sale systems and software
Job Duties
- Receive orders from patrons or waitstaff
- Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
- Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of bar opening
- Maintain bar spaces and keep them clean and organized
- Attractively display glasses, liquor, and other bar items for guests
- Collect payments from guests for drinks served
- Ensure customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons as necessary
