Job Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in beverage and food service
- ability to stand and walk constantly during shifts
- ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds
- basic English language proficiency
- knowledge of liquor laws
- valid Food Handler Card
- ability to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- availability to work in a 24/7 hotel environment
- ability to follow company policies and safety rules
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling
- basic English language writing skills
- manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- effective communication skills
- ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes
- maintains proper and adequate bar set-up daily
- requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, and other supplies
- maintains stock, cuts and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and perishables
- receives cash from guests and verifies charges
- balances all money transactions
- locks and stores beverages, food and equipment
- deposits cash drops and secures bank
- answers bar phone and takes room service orders
- inputs orders into register and manages checks
- performs general cleaning tasks
- adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- uses protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions and incidents
- maintains neat and clean appearance
- assists other beverage personnel as needed
- performs related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
