Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
  • knowledge of liquor laws and food safety regulations
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion control
  • basic English writing and comprehension skills
  • ability to use manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
  • ability to understand and apply written product instructions
  • ability to promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables daily
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and balance all money
  • lock up and store beverages, food and equipment items, secure cash deposits and bank
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
  • input orders into the register and create checks maintaining accountability
  • perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products
  • adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage to supervisor
  • maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
