Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of liquor laws and food safety regulations
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- effective communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion control
- basic English writing and comprehension skills
- ability to use manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
- ability to understand and apply written product instructions
- ability to promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables daily
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and balance all money
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment items, secure cash deposits and bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
- input orders into the register and create checks maintaining accountability
- perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products
- adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
