Job Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in beverage service
- current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
- basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and make change
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- basic English language writing and communication skills
- manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle beverage equipment
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- excellent customer service skills

Job Duties
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
- responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- locks up and stores all beverages, food and equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
- answers bar phone within three rings, takes room service orders correctly and courteously, inputs orders into register at point of sale creating checks for guests and personnel
- performs general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- adheres to all company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security procedures and rules
- knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor
- maintains neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager
- assists other beverage personnel when needed
